Welcome to Pickle Time. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pickle Time platform, a pickleball court booking and player matching service operating in the Philippines. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Pickle Time, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent) and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.
2. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. Booking Policies
3.1 Making Bookings
Bookings are subject to court availability and venue confirmation. A booking is only confirmed after payment has been verified by the venue operator or the platform.
3.2 Cancellation and Refunds
The following tiered cancellation policy applies:
- 72+ hours before booking: Full refund
- 48-72 hours before booking: 50% refund
- 24-48 hours before booking: 25% refund
- Less than 24 hours before booking: No refund
Refunds are processed through the original payment method. Processing times may vary. Venue operators may set stricter cancellation policies, which will be displayed at the time of booking.
4. Payment Terms
- Payments are accepted via GCash, PayMaya, and bank transfer
- Payment verification is performed manually by reviewing uploaded proof of payment
- You must upload clear, legible proof of payment for your booking to be confirmed
- Pickle Time is not a payment processor and does not store financial account details
- Falsified payment proof will result in immediate account suspension
5. Platform Fees
Pickle Time charges a platform fee of 5% of the booking amount, with a minimum fee of P10. This fee covers platform maintenance, payment verification, and customer support. Platform fees are non-refundable and are clearly displayed before you confirm a booking.
6. Venue Operator Responsibilities
Venue operators who list courts on Pickle Time agree to:
- Provide accurate venue information, including court availability, pricing, and amenities
- Honor confirmed bookings and maintain the quality of listed facilities
- Respond to booking requests and payment verification in a timely manner
- Comply with all applicable local regulations and business permits
- Maintain a safe and well-maintained playing environment
7. Tournament Organizer Responsibilities
Tournament organizers using the platform agree to:
- Provide accurate tournament details, rules, and registration information
- Manage tournament brackets and scheduling fairly
- Communicate changes or cancellations to registered participants promptly
- Ensure adequate facilities and safety measures for tournament events
- Handle prize distribution as advertised
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit fraudulent bookings or falsified payment proof
- Use the platform to harass, abuse, or intimidate other users
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment processes
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the platform without authorization
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Pickle Time platform, including the name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Pickle Time and is protected by Philippine intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
Pickle Time acts as a booking platform connecting players with venue operators. To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law:
- We are not liable for the condition of venue facilities or injuries sustained during play
- We are not responsible for disputes between players and venue operators beyond providing a communication channel
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees you paid to Pickle Time in the 12 months preceding any claim
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free platform availability
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to mediation or arbitration in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of 2004 (Republic Act No. 9285) of the Philippines, before resort to litigation.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be filed in the appropriate courts located in the Philippines.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
