The Dink Barn 1st Pickleball Tournament 2026

1. General Rules

• All players must check in at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Late check-in may result in forfeit.
• Appropriate athletic attire is required. Non-marking court shoes are mandatory. No flip-flops, sandals, or bare feet allowed.
• Players must use paddles conforming to USA Pickleball standards. Only approved pickleballs provided by the tournament will be used.

2. Match Format

• All matches are best of 3 games. Each game is played to 11 points, win by 2.
• Rally scoring is used: a point is scored on every serve, regardless of which team serves.
• If the score reaches 10-10, play continues until one team leads by 2 points (e.g., 12-10, 13-11).
• Each match has a 30-minute time limit. If the match is not completed within 30 minutes, the player/team leading at that time wins. If tied, a single sudden-death point decides the winner.

3. Tournament Format

• This is a single elimination tournament. Once a player/team loses a match, they are eliminated from the tournament.
• The bracket will be posted at the tournament desk and online. Players are responsible for knowing their match time and court assignment.
• No consolation matches or second chances are offered.

4. Code of Conduct

• All players are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times. Unsportsmanlike behavior, including verbal abuse, racquet abuse, or intentional distractions, will not be tolerated.
• Disputes over line calls or rules should be resolved respectfully. If no agreement is reached, a referee or tournament official will make the final decision.
• Referee decisions are final and binding. No protests will be entertained after the match ends.

5. Forfeits and Walkovers

• A player/team will forfeit the match if they are not present and ready to play within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time.
• In case of a forfeit, the opponent receives a walkover win (2-0 in games, 11-0 in each game).
• If both players/teams are late, both may be disqualified from the tournament.
