SPR (Shake, Paddle and Roll)

General Rules

• Check-In: All players must check in at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Late check-in may result in forfeit.
• Attire: Appropriate athletic attire and non-marking court shoes are required. No sandals, flip-flops, or bare feet.
• Equipment: Paddles must meet USAPA standards. The tournament will provide official balls. Players may use their own paddle.

Match Format (All Divisions)

• Scoring: All matches are a single game to 11 points, win by 2. Rally scoring is used (a point is scored on every serve).
• Time Cap: Each match has a 30-minute time limit. If the game is not completed within 30 minutes, the player/team leading at that moment wins. If tied, play continues until a 1-point advantage is achieved or the next point is scored (whichever comes first, per tournament director discretion).

Tournament Format (Single Elimination)

• Three separate single-elimination brackets will run concurrently: Mixed Doubles (Open), Women’s Doubles (Open), and Men’s Doubles (Open).
• The winner of each bracket is the team that wins all matches without a loss. There is no consolation bracket.
• Matchups are predetermined by random draw. The tournament director reserves the right to reseed if necessary.

Code of Conduct

• Sportsmanship: Unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g., profanity, racquet abuse, arguing) is prohibited. Penalties include point deductions or disqualification.
• Disputes: All disputes must be brought to the referee immediately. The referee’s decision is final. No appeals to the tournament director after the match ends.
• Referee Decisions: Referees have full authority to enforce rules, including line calls and time violations.

Forfeits and Walkovers

• Late Arrival: A team that is not ready to play within 10 minutes of the scheduled match time will forfeit the match.
• Walkover: If a team cannot play due to injury or other reason, the opponent receives a walkover and advances. No refunds will be issued.
